This article shows how to set the Salary Cap for your Draft or Open pool.

A Salary Cap is a rule that places a limit on the amount of money that a team can spend on player salaries. Player salaries are official NHL salaries and we use CapFriendly.com as our source.

Please follow these steps to set the Salary Cap for your pool:

1. Access the "Admin" menu

2. Select the "Roster" tab

3. Select "Roster Settings" in the sub-menu

4. Click on the down arrow to the right of the "Salary Cap" header to expand the category

5. Enter the Salary Cap (in millions) for the pool. For example, the official NHL Salary Cap for the 2016/17 season is 73.0 ($73,000,000)

6. Set the Salary Cap Type. You have the following 2 options:

• Use Actual Salary - You would select this option if you want to use the actual salary that the player is being paid by his team in the current season.
• Use Cap Hit - You would select this option if you want to use the player's cap hit that is counted towards the team's salary cap in the current season.

7. Click on the box next to "Apply Cap to entire team" if you want the Reserve players included in the Salary Cap allotment. If you leave unchecked, only the Active players will count against the Salary Cap.

8. Click "Save" when done
